Formation spécialisée:
I believe in treating the whole person and have a passion for faith based counselling through a Biblical foundation. If the Biblical approach is not what you are seeking, I would still love to work with you and am to provide quality mental health care for those who are over 16 utilizing evidence based modalities including solution focused and motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT). I have specialized training in grief and hospice, elder care and dementia.
Déclaration personnelle:
My passion for being a therapist comes from knowing the difference it can make to have somewhere you can feel safe, supported and heard. Being a social worker/counsellor is truly a personal calling to support those struggling with or navigating through the challenges of life, whether they be day-to-day challenges, or larger life events that feel like too much to process on your own. I believe therapy is a tool to help you build strengths to navigate life, the goal is to move towards personal growth and independence. I believe change is possible and the therapeutic relationship offers a supportive environment to engage in healing.
