Arushi is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Psychology degree.
Arushi enjoys supporting children and adolescents through all ages and stages of their growth and development. She has experience working within a university-based mental health clinic and in community mental health settings. She has supported children and youth from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, and has experience working with difficulties surrounding ADHD, anger, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, OCD, schooling, self-esteem, and stress.
Arushi has a calm demeanor that enables clients to feel safe and comfortable within the therapeutic space. She takes a person-centered, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to counselling. She aims to empower her clients in overcoming hardships by highlighting self-compassion, resiliency, and one’s own innate ability to heal.

Arushi recognizes that people are the experts of their own lives and enjoys taking an eclectic approach in therapy that is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individuals she is working with. Some of the approaches she uses include cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, and arts-based approaches, to name a few.
Arushi views her work as not just a job, but a passion, and enjoys acting as an advocate, confidant, and source of emotional support for those whom she has the privilege of working with.
