Stacey is a skilled clinical social worker with almost two decades of practical experience specializing in children’s mental health. Stacey has worked in community agency settings, hospital settings, as well as school settings, providing psychotherapy to children and teens and their caregivers.
Stacey is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, exposure therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, collaborative problem solving, mindfulness practice, play therapy, and trauma informed therapy. Stacey has been trained as a facilitator for the ‘Circle of Security’ and the ‘Incredible Years’ parenting groups. Stacey also has substantial experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention / life promotion.
Stacey engages with her clients in a friendly and open manner. She is passionate about reducing stigma around mental health care and promoting mental health literacy. As a social worker, Stacey seeks to take a self reflective and non-judgemental stance to every interaction she has with the individuals she works with.
