Formation spécialisée:
My practice is focused on supporting women, with a special interest in supporting moms of babies and young children. Being a mom of young children myself, I understand how challenging mothering can be. I am certified in perinatal mental health (CC-PMH), and also draw from training and experience in the following areas: Polyvagal Theory, Narrative therapy, Solution-focused therapy (SFT), Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Attachment-based therapy, Trauma-informed therapy and Anti-oppressive practices. The goal is to work together to find the approach that works most effectively for you.
Déclaration personnelle:
Being a mom can be so hard. It feels like you spend so much time and energy taking care of everyone and everything, yet you can never catch up. There’s always more to do, and often it feels like you’re not doing any of it right. Unfortunately, perinatal mental health difficulties such as postpartum depression and anxiety are common. So many moms of young kids live life feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and burnt out. But just because the struggle is common doesn’t mean it’s okay. You deserve to take care of yourself. We can’t change the system, but we can change how we talk about it, how we feel about it, and what we do about it. Together we can find new ways to deal with life’s challenges so you can get back to being the best person, and mom, you can be.
