Déclaration personnelle:
My approach is to work collaboratively with individuals, and families on challenging psychosocial and emotional issues. My work and educational experiences with diverse populations, within interprofessional teams in various settings has included: senior services, social assistance, housing, community care, hospitals, crisis, mental health/addictions, and anger management groups. Counselling provided for: stress/coping, managing change/life transitions, interpersonal and work related issues, grief/bereavement, addiction/mental health, chronic/acute illnesses, dementia, and long-term care planning.Through personal experience with a family member living with a disability has increase my passion about this area of practice. The social worker/therapist can play a vital role in the journey faced by individuals and families. I strive to provide support, skills and tools to navigate this journey holistically.
