Personal Statement:
Mr. David I. Ross is a clinical Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist and regulated healthcare professional licensed to practice by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) (Registration # 817027) as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Since the inception of this assessor’s career in Social Work in 1997, he has obtained experience in a variety of community and clinical settings working with a wide range of cultures and ethnicities. He has extensive experience working with couples, individuals, adults living with disabilities, youth, at-risk youth, seniors, post-trauma and motor vehicle accident victims within the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS). His present professional focus of practice is clinical Social Work, Psychotherapy and Rehabilitative Psychotherapy. As a private practitioner, he works together with clients to develop supportive strategies that are time limited, goal oriented and solution focused. Mr. Ross is furthermore a member in good standing of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) (Registration # 004444) and the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) (Registration # 542527). Mr. Ross is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto - Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work.
