Personal Statement:
I believe that clients ultimately are the only people with first hand knowledge of their own lives and motives. However, due to their intimate knowledge and connection to their own lives, they may at times have difficulty in finding their way, in healing issues of the past. It is a counsellor's role to help facilitate the healing process. I use a variety of approaches to assist my clients to resolve issues by finding, emphasizing and employing their core strengths. I focus on what clients want to achieve for their future through coaching/counselling rather than on the past problem(s) that made them seek help. This approach emphasizes the positive opportunities for my clients in the present and future.
