Lynn F. Bloom is a clinical social worker whose whole career has been in the area of physical and psychosocial rehabilitation. Lynn specializes in the area of strengths-based narrative therapy and collaborative counseling with a focus on individual and family adjustment to disability, loss, caregiver stress and burnout, mental health challenges, lack of employment and related issues. She has extensive clinical experience working with people with chronic illness, spinal cord injury, MS, and neurological impairments. She is committed to the idea of helping people maximize their skills and abilities despite barriers.
Personal Statement:
Lynn uses narrative therapy and cognitive behavioral concepts to inform her clinical practice and teaching. She believes that people have within them the skills and abilities to help overcome life challenges. Her overall goal is to help clients re-connect with their own personal strengths and abilities so that they can feel happier, more relaxed, and personally effective in their daily lives.
