Personal Statement:
I began my professional life as a psychotherapist working with adolescents and their families. Throughout my early career, I worked in inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment settings. Throughout this work, I remained fascinated by the earliest relationship between birth parent and child, and their journey through many developmental changes. Because of this deep interest in early attachment, coupled with my desire for a career change, I became a registered midwife. My work as a midwife has provided me with rich experiences that have informed my passion for providing perinatal mental health care.
