Specialized Training:
use an integrated approach that combines elements of multiple techniques, including (but not limited to): Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Positive Psychology. The approach I use is always client-centered and aligned with clients’ specific needs, preferences, and goals.
Personal Statement:
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is to begin the process of unpacking and understanding your own story. Perhaps your story has left you feeling ineffective, overwhelmed and insecure as a parent. Perhaps your story is just beginning and you’re struggling to figure out who you are, who you want to be or how to get there. Or perhaps your story has left you with a negative sense of self and unfulfilling relationships that seem to continually let you down.
I specialize in helping children, young adults, and parents create new chosen paths in life. My goal is to help clients get more of what they want in their lives, and less of what they don’t. I bring a collaborative, empowering and non-pathologizing approach to therapy, and I enjoy helping clients identify and build upon skills and expertise they already have.
