Personal Statement:
Jenny Thibeau has over 20 years of experience in acute children's mental health. She is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid University. Jenny has extensive experience in supporting children, adolescents and their families who are living with depression, anxiety, addictions, suicidality/self-harm, ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). She utilizes evidenced based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Trauma Informed Therapy. Jenny has additional training in TIP (Transition to Independence Process) a set of interventions designed to support youth (ages 14-29) living with emotional and behavioural issues achieve success.
