Specialized Training:
My practice is relational, strengths based, and trauma informed. This means I place an emphasis on getting to know you, what makes you unique and what is most important to you. I also try my best to offer as much choice and flexibility in our work together. I draw on a combination of approaches including: Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioural (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Solution-Focused and Somatic. I have also taken specialized training in trauma stabilization and processing. I believe therapy should be a mix of exploration/self-reflection and skill building.
Personal Statement:
I support adults of all ages and abilities navigate uncertainty, connect to their inner wisdom, and build a life that aligns with their values. I primarily work with folks who are experiencing some degree of health challenge, chronic illness and/or disability, are trying to navigate our healthcare system or who are curious about their mind-body connection. Clients tell me they appreciate that I can understand them in a unique way, as I myself live with chronic illness. Creating a safe, non-judgement space for you to explore the tough stuff and build confidence in your path forward is my priority. It is an honour for me to support you in finding peace and fulfillment in your day-to-day.
