Specialized Training:
I am a trained therapist with experience using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Strengths Based Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work from a trauma-informed lens, and also utilize various tools and perspectives from the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy in my practice. I work from an eclectic approach to address the multi-faceted concerns that you bring to our sessions.
Personal Statement:
Coming from an anti-oppressive lens, I practice with the values of dignity, diversity, and self-empowerment at the forefront. I highly value honesty, collaboration, respect, and empathy, all of which are evident in the way I approach all sessions. The ideal outcomes in my practice are to enable and empower my clients to reach their self-identified goals within a supportive, empathetic, and therapeutic relationship. I will work with you to explore yourself and encourage healing while working within your window of tolerance.
