Personal Statement:
A warm welcome!!!! I knew I wanted to be a Social Worker when I was 11 years old and went for counselling to help me with anxiety from being bullied at school. The social worker really helped me to see things through a different light, encouraged me to develop coping skills, different perspectives, and how to feel more self-accepting. It is my aim to provide my clients with the same safe, encouraging, noncritical and accepting environment as my Social Worker did for me. The first session is very general when we go over what brings you into therapy, what goals you have, and review confidentiality and contract. The subsequent sessions focus on the goals we established in the first session. We go at your rate and rhythm, while we develop coping strategies, solutions, and goals together.
