ThriveWell Counselling’s team is made up of Registered Social Workers (RSW) with many years of experience helping those we work with reach their goals. ThriveWell’s services are geared to work alongside you to reduce and heal the impacts of all that you have experienced or struggled with.
ThriveWell uses integrative, evidence-based approaches to counselling, drawing upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Ego-State Therapy, Emotion-focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Harm Reduction, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other trauma-informed, attachment-based and Anti-racist and Anti-oppressive perspectives.
For LGBTQI2S communities, our support includes: coming out and acceptance with families and self, navigating familial and romantic relationships, self-identity, sexuality and gender identity, gender expression, transitional life events, and overall coping, mental health and wellbeing.
Personal Statement:
We live in a multicultural and diverse society, where differences in culture, language, ability, identities, and experiences can be abundant. It can also be challenging to navigate intersections of identity, experiences and culture. ThriveWell Counselling provides a nonjudgmental, safe and inclusive space for you and your therapist to explore challenging experiences, make new meanings, explore new ways of coping and to heal and thrive.
Whether processing challenging childhood experiences, gaining greater confidence and self-awareness, or working to define and reach your goals, ThriveWell Counselling helps you move from surviving to thriving. If you are an immigrant, newcomer or refugee, work with us to ease your transition as you settle into life in Canada.
