Specialized Training:
I am a graduate of the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP) (CICAPP provides an equivalency to a Masters program or higher level of training). I continuously engage in professional development and update my training regularly, including the completion of a certificate program in 'Children's Grief and Bereavement' through the SickKids Centre for Community and Mental Health (formerly the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre).
Personal Statement:
I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, with over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health with individuals from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and ranging in age from infancy to older adults. I have worked in hospitals (psychosocial and palliative care unit), schools, colleges, mental health agencies, and in private practice. In my private practice, I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health, behavioural, emotional, developmental, relational, and psychological difficulties. I offer assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy and I also consult with parents/caregivers from a psycho-educational perspective. I was also the clinical supervisor at the ADHD Clinic to students of the Masters of Social Work program from the University of Toronto and I continue to provide supervision for clinicians (I offer both individual and group supervision). Further, I am a board member of the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP).
