Personal Statement:
Welcome. According to researchers, "Effective therapy changes the brain". This is how therapy—why we come to feel and ‘function’ better—actually works, gradually generating beneficial outcomes.
My background is 40years of extensive psychotherapy and counselling experience (and continued learning); well-established practices in several emotional/mental health areas where I apply knowledge about our brain to helping approaches.
Especially regarding relationship issues (marital-partner/family), and emotional hurts or trauma occurring in early life/childhood. The latter are known to elevate stress and undermine our self-care/esteem, close relationships and personal-success achievement (through addictions, relationship conflict patterns, sexuality-intimacy difficulties, depression, anxiety, anger).
These are the concerns and challenges for which I most frequently provide therapy. Applied brainscience information has proven very helpful for accessing our at-core potentials to alter outlooks, motivations and choices/responses-- thereby improving management of our past hurts and trauma, and the quality of our relationships. Regardless your troubles, you can expect comforting rapport and helpful, dedicated care.
