Personal Statement:
I am compassionate, empathetic and person centered registered social worker whose passion is about seeing that clients continue to develop in any setting; and to create a safe nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients can use their own strengths and skills to overcome almost any obstacles. When I arrive in Canada as a refugee, I was young teen that experienced firsthand difficulties and challenges not only with obtaining shelter and food, but also with facing lack of basic knowledge how to navigate the multiple systems that are supposed to help in creating safe environment and support me and others in similar situation restart their life in the new home. Hence my purpose as a social worker was to create safe environment for those who have experience hardship navigating the somewhat confusing systems and assist them make sense of their journey and to provide them with necessary tools to make their own decisions that are based not in the survival mode but are created in collaboration with hopes of the long-term achievable goals that can be obtained. Most importantly I believe that I can assist almost anyone in that empathetic empowered journey; moreover, I believe that together we can find the most suited plan of action that will be based on nonjudgmental, respectful, and clear holistic choices.
