Specialized Training:
I started my career as a Child Welfare Social Worker in 2012 for about 10 years. I then supported youth who have developmental disabilities with person-centred transition planning by building relationships, navigating complex systems, and making connections to beneficial supports in all areas of their lives. In 2022, I began my career as a mental health and substance use counsellor. I also have experience as a small town Firefighter and Disaster Psychosocial Services volunteer. I’ve supported children, youth, adults, and families from all walks of life through all sorts of difficult life experiences. I feel privileged to have walked alongside every single one of my clients and thank all of them for allowing me to be a part of their healing journey. Since completing my MSW in 2021, I’ve been working on a Certificate in Trauma and Crisis Intervention to expand my skills in the areas of critical incident debriefing and trauma support.
Personal Statement:
I’m a down to earth, small town social worker who wants to use my skills to support those who are struggling. I’ll listen without judgement, provide emotional and practical support where I can, and use humour when appropriate to help alleviate emotional pain and suffering. I aim to provide you with the skills to manage whatever life throws your way. Please check out my website at www.Robicscube.ca or my Facebook page (Robic’s Cube Counselling & Supports) for more info.
