Personal Statement:
I’ve been a practicing registered social worker since 2002. I have extensive experience working with: substance use, addictive behaviours, chronic medical conditions & critical illness, physical pain & functional loss, end-of-life care, grief & loss, anxiety & depression, sexual & abuse in childhood. My theoretical background is in structural family dynamics, cognitive behaviour therapy, trauma informed approaches to healing, brief-focussed therapy, somatic therapy, emotional regulation and mindfulness techniques. I am trained in EMDR and utilize somatic approaches to easing symptoms of trauma.
