Specialized Training:
My professional registration is R.C.S.W., which
is a step beyond R.S.W. that includes a North American board examination. This registration is specifically to counsel individual, couples, and groups. I have helped people struggling with relationship issues, social anxiety, panic attacks, anger, alcohol, sex, and sexual identity. What is more, a history of trauma is often part of this work. My clients have included I.T. professionals, engineers, medical students, recent immigrants, and other mental health professionals. I have worked successfully with many clients from the LGBTQT community.
Personal Statement:
After twenty-five years of clinical experience,
I have chosen an interactive approach and will send you my summary notes after each session. Often I will send you follow-up questions by email as well. Initially, we identify a path that confirms your values and promotes positive change. We also clarify your core values, hopes, and skills from which emerge your chosen direction in life.
If you like, we can discuss mindfulness skills that help you stay in the present, while letting go of the past. Altogether, this approach takes months, not years, to get your life back on track.
